Handle Mounted Dump/Return Control System
Miller’s
popular MB16/21 Scoot-Crete power buggies are now available
with an optional handle mounted dump/return control system (patent
pending).
Located
on the left handle bar, the handle-mounted control provides
the feathering capability of the traditional console mounted
dump lever while allowing the operator to keep both hands on
the handle bar.
The handle-mounted
control is more comfortable for the operator to use. Additionally,
as the operator can stand straight up, his line of sight is
improved.
In applications
where the operator is backing the buggy up while dumping material,
the operator can keep both hands on the steering handle and
control both the dump rate and travel speed.
Miller’s
handle-mounted dump/return control system is a mechanical system
unlike other electrically operated handle-mounted switches.
This virtually eliminates the operational and maintenance problems
experienced with electric switch designs.
The mechanical
control provides infinitely variable dump and return speed different
from the limited on/off operation of a switch. Reliability problems
associated with switch failure are therefore eliminated.
Miller’s
mechanical system allows the dump cylinder pressure to be released
so the bucket can be dumped when the engine won’t run,
something that can’t be done with an electric switch dump
control.
Not only
is the Handle Mounted Dump/Return Control System available on
new Miller Scoot-Crete MB16 power buggies, a retrofit kit is
available to convert any Miller Scoot-Crete MB16 to handle mounted
dump control.
This option
will be available for shipment in March, 2004.
